If you are planning to invest in a particular country or industry sector it is important to be able to look beyond the hype and understand the real picture. Newspapers and magazine stories may not give the whole picture as they usually cover recent events. Instead, it is advisable to read books by authors specializing in a particular subject, who have conducted extensive field research.
